1879-S $10 MS61 NGC. Although minor abrasions are found on both sides, the strike is bold and the surfaces are lustrous and toned a pleasing rose-gold. A look at the population reports reveals that this is a tough issue any finer, with NGC grading only 11 examples higher (12/07).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 265R, PCGS# 8686, GSID# 9490)
