1879-S $10 MS61 PCGS. Frosty and sharply struck, this Mint State 1879-S eagle has brilliant yellow surfaces with darker olive patina on both sides. A generous mintage of 224,000 coins does little to explain the importance of the date in Mint State grades. Population: 24 in 61, 17 finer (11/09).(Registry values: N1793)
