1879-S $10 MS61 PCGS. Although a common coin in grades up to and including AU58, very few Mint State examples of this San Francisco mint issue have survived. Yellow-gold luster has occasional apricot elements on this MS61 representative, particularly on the reverse. Scattered marks are present, as expected, with the most significant of those being a mark on Liberty's cheek. Population: 34 in 61, 26 finer (8/13).(Registry values: N1793)
