Greenish-Gold 1880-O Eagle, AU58+
Extremely Low Mintage
1880-O $10 AU58+ NGC. CAC. From a minuscule mintage of 9,200
pieces, the 1880-O eagle is seldom encountered at the near-Mint
level, especially with the plus designation. Currently, this is the
only specimen certified in AU58+ by NGC (8/10). The present coin
displays attractive greenish-gold surfaces, with a strike that
imparts sharp detail to the central devices, with only slight
traces of wear evident on the highest points.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 265U, PCGS# 8689, GSID# 9492)
