Description
Choice Extremely Fine 1880-O Eagle
1880-O $10 XF45 NGC. A relatively clean example with ample detail remaining. The color is an even green-gold and surfaces are mellow. While this issue has a low mintage of 9,200 pieces, unlike Seated coinage of the era with similarly minuscule productions, few 1880-O eagles were set aside. Outside of a single anomalous MS64, no pieces have been certified above MS61, making lightly circulated examples desirable.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 265U, PCGS# 8689, GSID# 9492)
