Description

1881 $10 MS64 NGC. The 1881 eagle had an extraordinary mintage of nearly 4 million coins, but few of those survive in better Mint State grades. The combined NGC and PCGS population of this issue is 45 pieces graded MS64, and just three finer. This near-Gem has a bold strike and frosty yellow luster with lovely peripheral lime-green toning. Census: 28 in 64 (1 in 64+), 2 finer (3/14).
