Condition Rarity 1881 Liberty Eagle in MS 64

1881 $10 MS 64 NGC. A lustrous orange-gold specimen with lightly abraded surfaces and an above average strike. While the 1881 eagle is one of the most common issues in the entire Liberty eagle series, it becomes a condition rarity in Choice Mint State grade. The two major grading services have between them graded only one coin higher, an MS 65 certified by PCGS. Population: 17 in MS 64, none finer (7/00).
