Description

Bright AU58 1881-CC Ten Dollar

1881-CC $10 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. Later die state with thin die cracks through the bottom of 881 in the date trailing off into the denticles on the right. A common CC ten and often used for type purposes, but not often found finer than near-Mint. This is an attractive piece that is missing just a bit of luster in the open areas of the fields; otherwise, the devices are surrounded by bright mint frost. Well struck, there are numerous small abrasions present on each side, but none are worthy of individual mention.(Registry values: N1793)
