Description

1881-CC Ten Dollar, MS60
Red-Gold Color, Low Mintage

1881-CC $10 MS60 NGC. Variety 1-A. Frosted mint luster characteristic of the Carson City branch mint shines from red-gold surfaces. Myriad small abrasions over each side determine the grade. However, any 1881-CC ten dollar gold piece (24,015 coins struck) is scarce in mint condition. Trivial softness over Liberty's ear and the lower portion of the eagle have no effect on the appeal or importance of this offering. Census: 13 in 60, 35 finer (3/19).(Registry values: N2998)
