Description

Lustrous MS62 1881-CC Ten Dollar

1881-CC $10 MS62 NGC. Winter 1-A. According to Doug Winter's latest Condition Census, this should be a lower Condition Census piece. However, NGC has certified another 94 coins in the same grade. A suspiciously high number for certain and, of course, it is not known just how many coins this number actually represents. This is a well struck piece that has shimmering, lustrous surfaces. The only marks of any note are a horizontal scratch in the left obverse field next to star 2 and a series of small abrasions in the right field between stars 12 and 13.
