Description
NGC 1881-O XF 45. The 1881-O is the rarest issue in the 1880-82 date run. Scarcely seen any finer, this piece just misses condition census ranking by 5 points. A trifle softly struck, as usual, there are faint glimmers of an original prooflike surface that can still be seen around the more protected areas of the devices. There is one obvious mark on the cheek of Liberty. Trends $1,050 in XF 40, $2,500 in AU 50.
