Description

1882 $10 MS64+ PCGS. The 1882 Liberty eagle was produced in large numbers, but most examples seen are circulated or bagmarked. The apricot-gold surfaces of this high-end near-Gem exhibit sharply struck devices and pleasing luster. A bargain relative to other gold issues of similar conditional rarity. Population: 50 in 64 (2 in 64+), 1 finer (4/18).
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2014), lot 6909, which realized $3,290.(Registry values: N1793)
