Description

1882 XF 45. Possible Proof. Even with fifteen points of wear this piece retains a considerable degree of reflectivity in the fields. However, perhaps even more importantly the reverse shows thin, shallow vertical stripes which are diagnostic of proof strikings. On the obverse, however, there are no die file marks through TY, but there are remnants of die polish in this area, as on the Amon Carter coin. No guarantee here, just a possibility.
