1882-CC Eagle, Choice AU
Only 6,764 Pieces Struck

1882-CC $10 AU55 PCGS. Variety 2-A. Rusty Goe proposed a survival rate of 200 to 235 coins for the 1882-CC back in 2003. Today, CoinFacts suggests 275 pieces extant. Whether the true number is within that range or slightly higher, this remains an exceedingly scarce issue and a popular one with a low mintage of 6,764 coins. Partial luster around the rims melds with semiprooflike fields near the interiors. Both sides are well-detailed with minor areas of friction. Light yellow-gold with a single mark below the chin. Population: 24 in 55, 25 finer (6/17).(Registry values: N2998)
