Description

1882-CC XF 45 NGC. Scarce in all grades with Choice XF pieces such as this considered rare, and rated a High R.5 with only 29-36 pieces believed extant in this grade range. Only 6,764 coins were produced and the lack of survivors in all grades gave Winter and Cutler reason to compare the '82-CC to other, better known issues such as the 1871-CC and 1877-CC. Reasonably well defined, the surfaces are bright and peppered with numerous small abrasions.
