1884-CC $10 AU55 NGC. Winter 1-A....
Description
1884-CC Liberty Head Eagle, AU55
Attractively Toned Low-Mintage Issue
1884-CC $10 AU55 NGC. Winter 1-A. The 1884-CC ten dollar
gold has a low mintage of 9,925 coins struck from one set of dies.
An interesting feature of this date are the heavy diagonal lines
across the neck that are found on most, and possibly all coins of
the issue, but this anomaly has yet to be explained. This is an eye
appealing example with deep honey-gold toning over lightly abraded
surfaces. The strike is full, and satiny luster is found in
protected areas of the design.(Registry values: N2998)From The Brittany Legacy Collection, Part I.
