MS64+ 1886-S Eagle
Highest Graded With CAC Seal
1886-S $10 MS64+ NGC. CAC. The 1886-S is strictly a type
coin through MS62 but is a better date any finer. Only two examples
have been graded as MS64+ by NGC (with none higher, as of 6/12),
and both coins are in the present auction. Of the two lots, the
present piece has the greater eye appeal, since the dusky
apricot-gold surfaces display only trivial marks. It is also one of
just three pieces at the MS64 level with a CAC seal.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266G, PCGS# 8709, Greysheet# 9506)
