Conditionally Rare 1886-S Eagle MS64
1886-S $10 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1886-S is plentiful in MS60 to MS63 grades, since a quantity have been repatriated from foreign bank holdings. In MS64, however, the 1886-S emerges as a significant rarity, since examples were valued solely by their bullion content and no effort was made to protect their surfaces. Well struck and lustrous with a smooth portrait and a few faint field grazes.
