1887 Liberty Eagle, MS60
Rare Prooflike Example
1887 $10 MS60 Prooflike NGC. From a modest mintage of 53,600
pieces, the 1887 Liberty eagle is relatively scarce in all Mint
State grades, and examples with certified prooflike surfaces are
rare. This impressive Mint State specimen exhibits sharply detailed
frosty design elements and reflective prooflike fields on both
sides. The pleasing orange-gold surfaces show a fewer than expected
number of minor contact marks and hairlines for the grade. Census:
