Description
Lustrous 1887 Eagle, MS62
1887 $10 MS62 PCGS. A few abrasions on each side, especially on Liberty's cheek, keep the grade down on this pleasing Mint State example. Traces of apricot toning adhere to the surfaces of this lustrous eagle. Only 53,680 pieces were minted, and examples remain difficult to locate. During the same year, the 1887 eagle's little brother, the half eagle, was only minted in proof.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266H, PCGS# 8710, GSID# 9408)
