Description
1889-S Ten, MS63
Vibrant Mint Luster
1889-S $10 MS63 PCGS. The 1889-S eagle is a generic issue in
grades through MS63 and it is moderately scarce in MS64. Only one
Gem is known -- graded MS65+ at PCGS -- and it brought a stunning
$52,875 (as a PCGS MS65) in Heritage's New York Signature
(11/2013). It was later sold as part of David Hall's set en
bloc to collector Bob Simpson. This collectible MS63 coin
displays vibrant orange-gold luster and sharp detail. Only light
field marks are present, none being particularly bothersome. From The Harvey B. Jacobson, Jr. Collection of Liberty Eagles. (Registry values: N1793)
