1889-S $10 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Although the 1889-S eagle had a mintage of 425,400 pieces, there are few survivors at the near-Gem level. Indeed, PCGS and NGC have graded just 27 coins in MS64 and one finer. The present coin is a sharply detailed Choice specimen, with bright satiny mint luster and attractive orange-gold surfaces. Population: 20 in 64, 1 finer (12/13).(Registry values: N2998)
