Description
Cameo Contrasted MS 63 1891 Eagle/Tied For Second Finest Certified
1891 MS 63 PCGS. A condition census example of this moderately scarce issue. When the data is combined from both PCGS and NGC a total of 11 coins have been certified in MS 63 (10 PCGS and 1 NGC), and only one example is finer. This piece has bright, fully prooflike fields that unfortunately amplify the severity of the numerous small abrasions that are peppered across both sides. Fully struck, the devices are frosted, providing the coin with a rather pronounced cameo effect.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266T, PCGS# 8719, GSID# 9412)
