Description

1891-CC $10 AU55 PCGS. A six-figure mintage of 103,732 pieces makes the 1891-CC the most available of all CC-Mint eagles by a wide margin. This Choice About Uncirculated example is ideal both for type and Carson City specialists. Abrasions are slight for an issue known for its heavily marked surfaces. There are no copper alloy marks that often plague the 1891-CC. Mint luster remains across sharp, medium-gold surfaces that feature pale-orange and olive accents in sheltered areas. A shallow scrape near star 12 is the only mark of note.(Registry values: N991)
