Repunched Mintmark

1891-CC $10 MS62 PCGS. FS-501, Breen-7035. Traces of the a second CC are seen to the right of the bold CC. A light crack extends through the denomination on the reverse and a thin, circular die break connects the outer points of stars 1 through 4 on the obverse. This Carson City type coin has full cartwheel luster and a sharp strike. There are no obtrusive marks. PCGS has certified only 68 pieces finer as of (12/08).(Registry values: N1793)
