Description

1892-CC Eagle, MS61
Rare in Mint State

1892-CC $10 MS61 NGC. Antique-gold patination evenly covers each side of this CC-mint product--one of only 40,000 pieces produced in this penultimate year of the Carson City Mint. Few examples of this issue survive in Mint State. In 1892 the efforts of our nation's mints were focused on producing the first-year Barber coinage, minor coinage, silver dollars in moderate amounts, and the first Columbian commemorative half dollars. Considerable bright mint luster is present on this piece, along with moderate abrasions. Census: 22 in 61, 10 finer (2/10).(Registry values: N2998)
