    Condition Census 1892-CC Eagle

1892-CC $10 MS64 NGC. In terms of overall rarity, the 1892-CC is not a particularly noteworthy issue among Carson City tens. 40,000 pieces were originally struck, a comparatively high figure for eagles from the historic Western Mint, but only a tiny percentage of survivors qualify at the Mint State level. The Choice representative offered here is by a full two points the nicest 1892-CC we have ever offered and easily merits Condition Census status. Not only are both sides boldly defined with luxuriant frosty luster, the surfaces reveal only a minimum of wispy field marks. A few small alloy stains are scattered across the obverse, the most noticeable being located to the right of star 3. Simply outstanding quality for the issue. Census: 2 in 64, 0 finer (11/06).(Registry values: N7079)
