Description

Important Near-Gem 1892-CC Ten Dollar

1892-CC $10 MS64 NGC. Unlike its '91-CC predecessor, the 1892-CC is rare in Mint State. It becomes very rare at the MS63 level, with only two pieces certified at PCGS and none at NGC. Both services combined have graded only four examples as MS64, and none have been certified finer.
This impressive piece has lustrous sun-gold surfaces and impressive aesthetic appeal. The surfaces display only minimal grazes. The upper portion of the reverse is lightly die doubled, especially at the tops of the letters in the motto. Census: 3 in 64, 0 finer (4/07).(Registry values: N7079)
