FS-801, Tripled Die Reverse
1892-CC $10 Tripled Die Reverse, FS-801, AU53 NGC. Variety
1-A. The penultimate Carson City eagle issue has a low
production of 40,000 pieces. Two die marriages are confirmed, with
the Repunched Date Variety 1-A more available than the Normal Date
Variety 2-A. Both pairings were struck with the same reverse die,
which exhibits die tripling on IN GOD WE TRUST. Substantial luster
lingers on lightly marked peach-gold surfaces. Housed in a prior
