Scarce Issue and Variety, CAC
1892-CC $10 Tripled Die Reverse, FS-801, AU58 PCGS. CAC.
Winter 2-A. Luster brightens the margins and protective
areas of this near-Mint example. The upper reverse legends are
lightly die doubled and mintmark placement confirms the rare Winter
2-A die variety. The obverse displays subdued marks consistent with
AU-level pieces. Overall eye appeal is strong and CAC has provided
approval. This low mintage Carson City issue is much more elusive
than its 1891-CC predecessor, with just 65 Mint State examples at
PCGS (5/25).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2010), lot 5474.
