Low Mintage, Die Tripled Reverse

1892-CC $10 Tripled Die Reverse, FS-801, AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. The penultimate Carson City ten dollar issue is scarcer than its 1891-CC predecessor. Although the grading services have certified more than a thousand examples from the mintage of 40,000 pieces, more than 90% of those certified coins are in circulated grades. The present lot does not display obvious high-point wear, and the luster extent is pleasing. Rose-red accents visit smooth sun-gold surfaces. IN GOD WE TRUST is die tripled. Population: 61 in 58, 56 finer (4/24).
