Description

1892-CC Ten Dollar Liberty, MS62
Rare High-End Example

1892-CC $10 Tripled Die Reverse, FS-801, MS62 NGC. Winter 1-A. All Winter 1-A eagles are the FS-801 reverse. An impressive Mint State piece with good yellow-gold luster. The strike is bold with excellent central and peripheral details. The left obverse field has a few small marks. The 1892-CC has the second highest mintage (40,000 pieces) of any Liberty ten from the Carson City Mint, yet examples are difficult to obtain in Mint State. Merely a handful are finer than the current coin. NGC Census: 10 in 62, 3 finer (12/25).
