Description

1892-S Ten Dollar, MS63
Better Low-Mintage Issue

1892-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Within the context of the later decades of the Liberty eagle series, the 1892-S is a better date. The mintage was only 115,500 pieces. Although Mint State examples are available, most are bagmarked from long-term bank vault storage as bullion reserves. This apricot-gold example is well struck and lustrous. A diagonal line on the lower left obverse field precludes a higher grade. Population: 94 in 63 (6 in 63+), 7 finer (6/25).
