Conditionally Challenging 1893 Eagle, Memorable Near-Gem Preservation
1893 $10 MS 64 PCGS. The present specimen displays refreshingly smooth surfaces that set it apart from the typical Uncirculated survivor of this conditionally challenging P-mint delivery. The strike is strong and both sides exhibit thick, rich mint frost. A few light abrasions are visible throughout, although the orange-gold coloration ensures this coin's overall positive appearance. While NGC reports only 5 examples finer, PCGS has not graded a single coin above the MS 64 grade tier (9/99).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266Z, PCGS# 8725, GSID# 9414)
