Description

Rare, High Grade 1893-CC Ten-Dollar

1893-CC AU 58 PCGS. A rare and underrated Carson City ten-dollar with a paltry mintage of only 14,000 pieces. Popular with collectors also because of its final year of issue status from this mint. Most surviving specimens grade VF or XF with AU pieces being quite elusive. This coin is tied with several others as second finest certified, and it is bettered only by a single PCGS and a single NGC coin at the MS 60 level. This is an original piece that shows rich orange-gold color overall and good remaining luster. Sharply struck and minimally abraded.
