Description

Noteworthy MS63 1893-S Ten

1893-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Despite its better date status, the 1893-S carries little premium in the lowest Mint State grades. MS62 examples are sufficiently scarce that they are in demand, and the issue becomes undeniably rare at the MS63 level. Unlike most 1893-S tens, the present piece has full luster, and the fields and portrait are only moderately abraded. Population: 33 in 63, 4 finer (2/08).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2674, PCGS# 8728, Greysheet# 9518)

Weight: 16.72 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
