Famously Rare in Select or Finer Grades
1894-O $10 MS63 NGC. Variety 4. A six-figure mintage makes
this New Orleans date easily available in lower grades, yet MS63
examples or finer coins are true condition rarities. This Select
Uncirculated example is lustrous and boldly struck for an O-Mint
eagle. Attractive and frosty medium-gold patina displays a pale
ring of olive-gold at the margins. Just 25 coins are graded in MS63
condition by both services combined, and a mere four coins are
certified numerically finer. NGC Census: 12 in 63, 3 finer
