1894-O Ten Dollar, MS63+
Just a Single Coin Finer at PCGS

1894-O $10 MS63+ PCGS. Variety 3. The majority of the 107,500 eagles struck in New Orleans in 1894 saw circulation, and the survival of a small number of Uncirculated examples (mainly in MS60 to MS62) stems from several hoards discovered within the past 20 years. Surprisingly vibrant luster abounds over wheat-gold surfaces with hints of rose. The stars have full radial lines, the hair curls are well-detailed, and the eagle's feathers, talons, and olive leaves are bold. Undoubtedly on the cusp of an even higher technical grade. Population: 14 in 63 (1 in 63+), 1 finer (4/16).
