A caramel-gold example of this scarce New Orleans issue, this variety has the ball of the 9 centered over the dentil below, one of three die pairs confirmed from a low mintage of 98,000 pieces. This piece is lustrous and well struck, with the expected number of small abrasions. Census: 85 in 62, 10 finer (9/13).(Registry values: N1793)
