1895-S Liberty Head Eagle, MS61
Rare Issue in Mint State
1895-S $10 MS61 PCGS. The San Francisco Mint achieved a
meager mintage of 49,000 eagles in 1895. The issue is all but
unknown in Uncirculated condition, with only 11 other pieces
certified in MS61 and 11 finer by both major services (5/10). The
fields are bright and prooflike on this sharply defined coin, with
numerous small abrasions scattered over each side. A couple of
darker spots of color are below the first and last digits of the
