Description
Bright 1895-S Eagle
1895-S MS 60 PCGS. A scarce and underrated San Francisco issue. With a total of only eleven pieces graded mint state by PCGS and NGC, it's obvious that this was a workhorse issue that was quickly assimilated into circulation. This piece combines typically bright S-mint luster with antique-gold color and reddish highlights. There are sufficiently numerous light marks and a few larger ones to account for the grade, although the eye appeal makes it clearly high-end.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 267A, PCGS# 8734, GSID# 9522)
