Description

1897 Ten Dollar, MS65+ CAC
Exceptional Preservation

1897 $10 MS65+ PCGS. CAC. The 1897 has a million-piece mintage and is among the later issues in the series exported in quantity into foreign bank vaults. Thus, the issue is readily found in lower Mint State grades. But few pieces were saved by collectors until after Roosevelt's gold recall, and Gems are rare. This is an outstanding Gem featuring sweeping luster across well-struck and virtually unblemished peach-gold surfaces. Population: 19 in 65 (2 in 65+), 5 finer. CAC: 4 in 65, 0 finer (3/25).
