1897 $10 MS66 NGC. A sliver more than 1 million gold eagles were struck at Philadelphia in 1897, making this issue plentiful grades through MS64. However, Gems are conditionally scarce. This Premium Gem is a rarity. Fully struck, each side has frosty peach-gold luster that deepens a shade or two around the borders. A few faint grazes on the obverse are only visible at certain angles. Census: 5 in 66, 1 finer (11/18).(Registry values: N1)
