Description
Scarce Mint State 1897-O Ten-Dollar
1897-O MS 61 PCGS. The '97-O is a scarce date, but not a particularly noteworthy one unless a mint state coin is sought. In uncirculated condition this issue is more difficult than any of the other O-mints from the 1890s except the 1894-O. This is a fully struck coin that has bright orange-gold color and satiny mint luster. Modestly abraded with the most obvious group of marks seen in the lower right obverse field below the hair bun.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 267E, PCGS# 8738, GSID# 9524)
