Only Three Finer Examples at NGC
1897-S $10 MS63 NGC. The population of 1897-S ten dollar
gold pieces thins out dramatically in Select Uncirculated
condition. Just one other example is certified at that level at
NGC, with two more in MS64 and one in MS65 (11/19). Lustrous
honey-gold surfaces exhibit light, undistracting chatter. A touch
of softness occurs over the high points, but design detail is
