Description

1899 Eagle, MS65
Great-Looking Example

1899 $10 MS65 NGC. CAC. Frosty surfaces range from greenish-gold at the rims to yellow-gold in the centers of each side of this coin, which is also quite close to a full strike, save for touch of softness on the hair over the ear. A couple of copper-colored areas and one iridescent dark place on the obverse rim appear to be due to improper alloy mixing and affect neither the grade nor the eye appeal, which is tremendous. The 1899 issue is a great type coin, and this is a great-looking example.(Registry values: N2998)
