Description
1899-O Liberty Eagle, MS63
Rarely Seen Finer
1899-O $10 MS63 PCGS. CAC. Winter-2. The mintage of 37,047
pieces ensures the scarcity of the 1899-O that is difficult to
locate in MS62 or better grades. Four die varieties are identified
for this issue, a seemingly large number of varieties for such a
low mintage. Rich orange-gold patina graces the lustrous surfaces
of this brilliant and eye-appealing Select Mint State example that
exhibits sharply struck design motifs. Scattered small marks limit
the grade. Population: 21 in 63 (1 in 63+), 7 finer. CAC: 10 in 63,
4 finer (12/24).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2010), lot 4066; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2019), lot 5812.(Registry values: N2998)
