    1899-O Eagle, Reflective MS64
    Conditionally Rare O-Mint Issue

1899-O $10 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Variety 2. From a mintage of 37,047 pieces, the 1899-O Liberty ten dollar is the scarcest New Orleans eagle struck after 1883. The typical submission at the leading certification services grades a fraction shy of MS60, and all Mint condition examples are scarce. The 1899-O becomes very rare at the Select grade level, and Choice representatives generally appear at auction once every few years or so, with some exceptions. The opportunity presented here is not to be missed. This high-end Select example exhibits sharply detailed design elements and lightly marked orange and rose-gold surfaces. Vibrant mint luster and a few areas of prooflike reflectivity complete the appeal. Population: 5 in 64, 1 finer (6/16).(Registry values: N2998)
