Description
1899-S $10 MS63 NGC. Despite a mintage of 841,000 pieces, the 1899-S eagle is somewhat elusive in MS63, and finer coins are rarely encountered. This piece displays a bold strike and frosty honey-gold luster. Light, scattered abrasions contribute to the grade, but are not overly detracting. Census: 71 in 63 (1 in 63+), 16 finer (8/14).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 267L, PCGS# 8744, GSID# 9528)
