Description
1899-S $10 MS63 NGC. A frosty coin that retains ample luster and has a good strike for the issue. The surfaces show some scattered handling marks as expected for the grade. One thin scrape will serve to identify this coin, which is found in the field left of Liberty's forehead. Higher-grade 1899-S eagles are rarely offered. Census: 68 in 63 (2 in 63+), 19 finer (4/18).Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2006), lot 4059, which realized $2,472.50.(Registry values: N2998)
